Overview

Transitioning from an armed forces lifestyle back into a civilian routine can be challenging. Here at HAECO Americas, former service members comprise nearly half of our work force and we pride ourselves on hiring and supporting veteran talent. This year, HAECO Americas earned the 2018 Military Friendly® Employer designation by Victory Media, with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.

Testimonials

"I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1983-1987 and I am a Cold War veteran. Working on A-4, F-4, and F/A-18 aircraft and attached to VMFA-312 at MCAS Beaufort, I completed two deployments to Iwakuni, Japan; Subic Bay, Philippines; and Yecheon, South Korea. I started working at HAECO Americas in January 1991 and have used the skills I learned in the Marine Corps every single day. I have enjoyed working at HAECO with current members of the military and veterans from all eras. They have many of the same skills, background, and experiences that I do and we share a camaraderie, no matter what branch of service we served in."

Keith Zimbro, Avionics Lead Mechanic

"I enlisted in the United States Navy in 1976, serving as a member of VP-91 Anti-Submarine Warfare Squadron based at NAS Moffett Field in Sunnyvale, CA.  I was honorably discharged in 1981 and I began my career in the Aviation industry on various military contracts taking me all over the United States, South America and Europe. My Naval Aviation training and experience paved the way for me to make a long lasting career in the Aviation industry, culminating with my long tenure here at HAECO Americas."

Supporting Our Fellow Veterans

HAECO is proud to support Purple Heart Homes (PHH), a 501(c)3 charity organization helping service connected disabled veterans with housing solutions. Improvements can be as simple as adding a hand rail to full remodels to accommodate wheelchairs. As a founding board member of the Purple Heart Homes Piedmont, NC Chapter, HAECO has the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of deserving local veterans.   Whether it's organizing a community fundraiser or our employees donating their time and skills at project build site, HAECO is committed to supporting this worthy cause.

Check out this year's PHH Charity Golf Fundraiser here.
